... from the Swiss, for some reason. Maybe we've just been lucky so far. Our hotel even let us check in 4 hours early, which was a godsend, because it meant that we could have a quick wash, dump our bags, and start exploring immediately. Zurich is a very attractive little city, though unfortunately an awful lot of it is being dug up at the moment. They seem to be replacing a lot of the tram lines, and repairing many of the buildings. ... i got there in an Irish pub called Kennedys, when i got there we all worked in english and the costumers that were swiss ordered from us in english, no problem. i met some great people whilst working there, and i met a lot of costumers who were working in Zurich in sales and insurance science and all other genres and only speaking english so if your looking for a summer of work away, don't be put of by any language barriers.

... till we get rid of thousands of gallons of fuel. We not only cruise for hours but the pilot says not to be alarmed when the gasoline pours out of the wings . As I took pictures I wondered what was happening below where it was raining gas. Finally we touched down in New York at JFK and waited for hours for another plane. An 11PM departure put us in Zurich shortly after waking up from my coma.

After a one hour train ride to Zurich, I had to store my bag in the station luggage lockers because I wasn't going to drag my heavy bag for 9 or so hours. I didn't want that to limit my enjoyment and limit my tolerance to walk around freely.

... you don’t know what a raclette is, we didn’t either until it arrived at our table. It is like a small oven/grill that they bring to the table, sort of similar to a fondue in the way that you cook the food yourself. We ordered one with farmers ham and swiss cheese (this meal was very cheesy).
