First time Going To Genting highland 2006
Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia agnesliong85Second time to Genting Highland with Mr.Pooh
Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia agnesliong85I love cool, crisp air that revitalizes your spirit and provides energy for life. But hey, when we went there, it was awfully cold, too cold for comfort. I didn't remember Genting being so cold. It was foggy most part of the day, and either drizzling or pouring at night. But still, a couple of days away from the kid and work is heavenly. We had an eye opening experience in the casino where we saw our elderly throwing their silver dollars away like there's no tomorrow. No more money? Not to wo...
Genting Highlands, Malaysia chengengxinThis was not my 1st trip to Genting Highlands but I thought it would be nice to create a blog for this nice little place that offers fun, food and entertainment .....
Malaysia, Malaysia kawaii88A dream vacation haven that creates a great amount of fun and excitement!
Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia markanthonyiiWe got a great deal online for one of the biggest hotels in the world, the First Word Hotel with 6118 rooms!! The bus journey was all uphill and the temperature really dropped as we drove through the clouds; the scenery was breathtaking. At check in at the Hotel you even had to get a ticket for one of the 30 different check in desks. We got lucky as one of the staff gave us an old ticket which allowed us to skip the queue. We had a walk through the Theme Park inside and outside of the hotel a...

... was no sunset to be seen that evening as we walked across the skybridge which connects the two towers on the 41st Floor. However, we did witness a fairly spectacular thunderstorm across the city and it was quite something to watch the bolts of lightening from 170m above the ground.

As there are so many good restaurants in KL, we decided to celebrate the 6 month anniversary of the day we started travelling at a restaurant that Dean had read an ...

Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia tstiles... this part of town was just a little closer to where we were staying (it's walking distance but about 20 min. away) and I think I would have been much happier.

Melaka is a cute, small town that is easily walkable in a day. There are a few historical buildings to check out and Chinatown is great for just wandering around during the weekend festivities. We happened to find a beautiful temple that was full of worshipers (because it was sunday?) and it was cool to see them ...
Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia carrienica05... and it was something very cultural that we got to experience; the types of experience that make this trip even better! We weren't sure where the parade was taking us and it was starting to get dark, so we decided to leave the parade after an hour or two and head back to the hostel. We were suprised that so many of the Malaysians were able to walk 2miles without getting tired (even though alot of them did seem tired), because nobody ever walks anyway in SE-Asia, they're not used to it! haha. ... End of Part One.
Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia cereal42... to escape the balmy heat of Kuala Lumpur for a few days of relaxing by the pool and exploring the mountain top. We even went on the cable car to the top - apparently the World's Longest cable car (or possibly highest . . . or slowest . . . i don't remember exactly. Anyway, its the world's somethingest cable car).
Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia lochlanjw... We watched the FLY show which was ho-hum. Too bad we were not able to try the rides. We went inside the casino - Genting has 3 I think - just to see the place and to check out who played. Majority were Chinese. I guess this says something about their increasing prosperity.
Genting Highlands, Malaysia len16... the main agenda was to unwind. We spent most of our time trying out different cuisines and sitting around at all the various outdoor cafés and of course sampling the night life in the evenings. Two days went by very swiftly - it's a really fun place to hang out. Personally not my idea of a Travel destination - too urbane and civilized for me - but hey..someone else was paying for this, so make the most of it I did ;-) The theme park ...
Genting Highlands, Malaysia sabtravels... accompanied him at work. The face of the canvas constantly changed its hue and shape as the artist alternatively stood back and forth assessing his growing creation. A friend, American Joy Zinoman, artist director of a theatre in Washington, gave an account of his background and achievements, and art at large. Then, as suddenly as he had began, Encik Ibrahim said, "I've finished." It was 6:45pm but the hours of standing and painting did not show. Then came ...
