Back onto the scooter to check the jib-park – i.e. the jumps. Its been getting a little warm, with some rain last night, so the jumps are too icy and need to be scraped. Patrick calls in the groomer, and up appears the immense bulldozer-like machine that is responsible for preparing the slopes. ... poor Easy – Lotta’s dog - had to be rescued ! Distracted by some scent or another, Easy dived into a gully, only to fall through the snow to the creek below ! Luckily she managed to keep her head up, and Lotta grabbed the collar and hauled her to safety. Now one very cold doggy, Easy was keen to get moving again ! Certainly an adventurous day, and once again, we were given reason to classify the Swedish as truly mad where snow sports are concerned !

... a series of transport trails that loop and weave UNDER the big runs down from Are By using tunnels –like a crazy mousetrap game. Wild and great fun on a snowboard.

Rodkullen is also where the parks are – ramps, rails, etc – so there are a LOT of snowboarders here. We work our way around to Ulladalen, the final ski area right around the side of Are – we can see where we were yesterday at Tegefjall 4 km away – uphill, unfortunately ! After ...
