... this is a first going up even faster !

We need to climb on top of the chair lift, open hatches, and check the tires. Yes – chairlifts drive the cable cars (chairs) using rubber tires, and sometimes they go flat. Plus they in turn are driven by belts, which also need checked. Not what I was expecting ! All OK, we signal the lower station to start the lift, and watch the console display as everything fires up, Patrick explaining some of the intricacies ...

... poor Easy – Lotta’s dog - had to be rescued ! Distracted by some scent or another, Easy dived into a gully, only to fall through the snow to the creek below ! Luckily she managed to keep her head up, and Lotta grabbed the collar and hauled her to safety. Now one very cold doggy, Easy was keen to get moving again ! Certainly an adventurous day, and once again, we were given reason to classify the Swedish as truly mad where snow sports are concerned !

... a series of transport trails that loop and weave UNDER the big runs down from Are By using tunnels –like a crazy mousetrap game. Wild and great fun on a snowboard.

Rodkullen is also where the parks are – ramps, rails, etc – so there are a LOT of snowboarders here. We work our way around to Ulladalen, the final ski area right around the side of Are – we can see where we were yesterday at Tegefjall 4 km away – uphill, unfortunately ! After ...
