After a peaceful night and watching the sun go down on the midnight sun beach it was just a short drive today, just 200km to get to the Swedish coast. En route we visited Sweden's only working Linen Mill at Vaxbo where amazingly having pulled a cord. a sliding glass sound proofed door opened and we were allowed to follow the blue painted line on the floor of the mill, walking right next to working looms. This explains why, despite ...

Well, we slept OK on this old piece of road and no disturbances except for the light - it hardly went dark at all this far North. So light in fact we are up at 0430 and after a coffee en route by 0515 so now we feel we have been driving for ages, and of course we have. Not sure where we are heading today except towards Umea and we will try to find a nicer overnight stop when we are too tired to continue. Well, 1700 hours local time and we are in a ...

... Hudik), "a term that originated in the 19th century as word spread of its friendly hospitality and its lively social life." (I wouldn't know about the latter though).

It was brighter than Stockholm when we walked around the town at midnight, the sky still had a bluish-pinkish hue. Our 'chase' ended and we drove back to Stockholm the next morning, taking yet another scenic route, once again stopping along the way to look ...
