Drove from Trangsviken to Ostersund. Went to Jamtli Historieland open air museum. Dodged the rain to see goat and cow cheese and milk prepared, bought fresh flat bread (not as good as yesterday's) and heard a lot of the local history from "actors" in authentic dress. Finally decided to go inside when it hailed!!

        So ...

Baking bread and patting a moose.

So much fitted into one day, thanks to our great hosts. First went to see Stone Age rock carvings in the river rocks at Glosa. Then to a farm where the ladies were making traditional flat bread - delicious. Stopped at a lookout to admire Swedish mountain cows - looked like reverse Fresians, white and black, not black and white!

Then onto Ostersund for quick picnic on the lake shore on the island of Froson, before we ...

... on the course and loved it. The course in full length is about 20kms so Rhys and Anna only did 500m or so through the bush, up and down some hills. They came to check on me and I was happy, not falling over and keeping warm so they went for round two.

It was a great way to spend the afternoon and I look forward to one day coming back to Sweden and having no injuries to give cross country skiing a proper go.

So I had some period mishaps on the way to Ostersund on two out of three pants. I dont care if you think that.s gross. it.s what happened suck it up.

Klara found a place that would wash my clothes by the kilogram. So that.s what I did. The only catch was it wouldn.t be done until tomorrow. I took my clothes down there but Petter apparently couldnt find an extra key so we had to leave for the whole day. ...
