One of the reasons we wanted to travel to Sweden is to see this beautiful country that neither Cindy or I had ever visited. The other reason is that Bruce's Great Grandmother grew up in this small town just west of Stockholm.

I (Bruce) was fortunate to really get to know this wonderful woman.

Bruce went back to his roots when we stopped in Eskilstuna, Sweden. His great grandmother, Signe M. Anderson, was born here on March 14, ...

This was a school day and I spent the day in our partner school in Jakobsberg. The Swedes are very fond of their coffee and a classy coffee machine in the staff room is a welcome friend.

This past weekend, I took the short 2.5 hour flight over to Sweden, to spend some time with Katelyn visiting a friend from Laurentian, Caroline, who is spending her semester studying in Vasteras, Sweden .

I arrived in Stockholm just after 2 o'clock. I had 4 hours until I had to be at the airport to meet Katelyn before heading to Vasteras. With all this free time, I decided to walk around the city. This is the first time since ...

After Dublin, Västerås seems lacking, but it is back to classes until the next trip. This would be a good place to add that I have never felt unsafe in this city, even walking late at night or early in the morning. There are no neighborhoods that I have found that are not safe. Public transportation is also user friendly, although I have heard that this is not the case ...

... best thing I experienced in Sweden #2. This word describes coffee breaks. In the begging I wasn't fan of coffee so I didn't care to much, but there is a saying, with whom you are the one you become. So my friends there were attending FIKA's in universities cafe, I used to be with them, I got addicted to coffee!!! I really did. There was not a single day without (at least 3 cups) of coffee. All this took place at Karen, student's place. Sometimes there you could ...
