... Family and Friends show tonight. Both of these shows have been very well attended! It's been great to perform for our host families :) Kerstin and Hans loved it! We greeted them afterwards and they were all smiles :) Hans even asked us where he could sign up! How awesome! And of course, his camera was clicking away the entire time.
Tonight as Katrine and I were packing, our host parents called us to ...
Start at the beginning; and when you come to the end, stop!
So I am still at the beginning of this trip, still at home in Sweden, but I leaving in three days. I have lots to do, I still did not start packing, but I will soon, I hope.
Browsing a little bit in my study literature about Benchmarking, I found this wonderful poem by R. D. Laing that made me feel bit better.
"There is something that I don't know
that I am supposed to know.

Today we went into Goteberg city To watch the euro 2008 match on the big screens. (Sweden and Spain) But there was so much litter around the place and people smoking we went down to the local cafe (cappucino) and had a very different hot chocolate. We went back to the house and had tapas for dinner after finally deciding that it was too busy to have tea out !... Another game of pool was played before going up for bed at 12:30!
Hovas, Sweden dobbyj... link is a bit of a modern marvel, according to BBC. It is the longest combined road and rail bridge in the world. It consists of a 4km tunnel on the Danish side, and an 8km bridge. The two merges on a 4km-long artificial island named Peberholm in the middle of the Oresund Strait (if you're interested to read BBC's review of the Oresund Link, go to - http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/81372 9.stm)
Hjo, Sweden roadtripping... in the way that Quatorze Juillet does in French. Born on the Sixth of June will never have quite the same patriotic ring as Born on the Fourth of July. In fact, Swedes didn't even get a day off for it until 2005. For most people, it's just a welcome day off in the early summer. Oh, unless it falls on a Saturday or Sunday. Why's that? Well, if it happens to fall on weekend, that's tough cheese for you. This is a sore point for many Swedes, who preferred the ...
Hjo, Sweden roadtrippingThe sun came out in full force and maxed at nearly 20 degrees C. Not a single cloud in the sky...the birds are chirping and the wind is blowing rather mildly...yup, we like that! It's been a lazy weekend. We ended the week visiting Magnus and his two kids - Gustaf and Louisa - at their summer house (Marie-Louise was unfortunately working!), followed by a round of golf at 6.40pm (it's like 2pm in Asia!).
Hjo, Sweden roadtripping... lunch, we plan to explore Lacko Castle that was built in 1654. This is the Swedish hinterland, the scene of centuries of struggle for power, which culminated in the Vasa ascendancy. I hope it's open since it's still off season! Oppps no such luck....(we're just now writing this at 10.30pm)....we missed the guided tour of the castle by 10 mins so we weren't allowed in. We'll have more chances when we're in Germany and Prague to see castles. We had dinner ...
Hjo, Sweden roadtripping... Skara to continue my trip to Goteborg. It took a while but I got a direct ride from there to the YH in Goteborg with a guy that was driving fast but it was also back sunny and warm so I think I slept a bit in the car. I took one night in a hostel full of family because it was a youth internation soccer competition in town and since the weather was fine I went to walk in town and visit the harbour. I found the town ok but probably didnt visit the best thing.
