I know I shouldn't bag my own countryfolk, but one of the most annoying people I have ever had contact with was an Australian lady sitting behind us on the train from Stockholm to Motala. The celebrations continued for Dave until the early hours of the morning so we didn't see him Sunday! We did spend our last full day with his folks as they kindly took us for an hour and a half drive to their holiday house, on the east coast.

The scene was one of colour, noise and excitement, mixed with some relief the main job was over! The colourful dresses on the rugs over green grass and soft tones from the nearby spruce and pine trees were magical.
Finally after about an hour, all the dancers were organised to dance through the main street to their formal school dinner. Again, lots of laughter and fun with dresses swishing in all directions.
So as we said bye ...
... and we joined the family for a lovely dinner on their balcony overlooking parts of the town. As the sun set (well it sort of sets around 11pm til 5 am) we hoped and prayed that the rain potentially forecast for tomorrow would hold off for Dave's (and family) big ...
... The house we visited backs onto a big forest area and the view from their back porch onto hundreds of tall spruce and pine trees was stunning. Only downside was that I left my sunglasses there but Kathleen will give them to Ulla at work. It wasn't a late night as Dave had a school exam tomorrow.
