... the lift was broken and they were waiting on a part to arrive before it could be fixed. The (very friendly) woman at reception hoped (jokingly) that we were feeling strong. In truth? We weren't. We were hot, tired and very much out of practise at pulling heavy cases around. So we told the receptionist we were fine. Lisa somehow managed to find the strength to (just!) carry the case up the stairs and I did several trips up & down to fetch the others ...
... the night before, it turned out. So I had breakfast alone before heading out for a morning stroll to Nykarns Sluss. I had taken my book with me & found a lovely spot in the sun to sit and had a read. There was an old couple fishing upstream from me, and another person downstream also reading. I could easily settle into this sort of routine - the sort that doesn't involve me working but does involve beautiful sunny mornings, strolls along a canal and ...
... quiet at 7am!) so will definitely have a stroll up there at some point to have a proper look around.
Post-showers/breakfast, Lisa and Ju decided to walk up to the lake whilst I had a well deserved (and unexpectedly long!) nanna nap (they seem to be featuring fairly heavily on this holiday, don't they?) as I didn't fancy such a long walk, especially after a run. I had designs of sitting in a park and doing a little writing. So that's precisely what I did.

There was WiFi on the plane!! My normal routine of wait till the seatbelt signs have gone off after take off, turn on iPod, turn up music & sleep until landing went straight out of the window! An hour later & I was all caught up on Twitter, Facebook, emails, and messaged a few friends on Whatsapp. So there was then nothing left to do but sleep. Obviously.
