... pan fried rabbit with olives and roasted potatoes. Dolci was a torte. She paired each course with a different wine from this area. We learned new recipes and techniques that we, (mostly Tom) will be able to make again when we return home.

After our siesta, we walked up the hill from where we are staying into Montalcino. It's a quaint little town with amazing views. Looking forward to exploring more of Tuscany tomorrow.

... with lots of outdoor restaurants in several busy Piazzas. We also drove to Le Celle of St. Francis. It was a monastery built about 1211 by St. Francis and his followers as a place to come and pray. The "cells" were big enough for a bed, table and chair. Currently there are 7 Friars who live there and practice the teachings of St. Francis. It was a beautiful place just to walk through the forest and enjoy nature. ... We both had boar again and were as pleased as the previous night.

Never a dull moment, off to hear a trumpet recital. A group of americans were touring Italy and giving recitals. Why not. Didn't recognise anything but it didn't matter.

Home to our fabulous hotel. Not sure why they weren't busier, as it was a grand old building in a great location. A bit tired, but with an old world charm and service, and spotlessly clean.

... juice with pisatchios and peanuts. On our table I noticed the planter was growing jalepeno peppers. Obvz kenny was immediatly the happiest person. He asked if he could have one...and the waiter was like, ooh you don't want to do that!! You will get burned. Hahaha we had to convince him it was okay. So Kenny proceeded to have one right from the plant. He thought it was Great. There was only a few peppers on this plant. The waiter said he can't have more and took it ...
