This excursion took us to OIA, Greece. It is a typical Greek village, located on a high hilltop with narrow streets and white churches with blue domes. Our first stop at 9am was to a winery with plenty of samples, What a way to start the day!! We could have taken a cable car down to the port but decided to walk. So glad we did as we got to see the donkeys carrying people up and down the ...

I ...

A travel blog entry by natasha.strong on May 11, 2015

So after a slight detour to phi phi we are on our way to puket. The islands we originally wanted to go to from krabi had been hit by an earthquake of 7.4 two days before we arrived so no boats were going there. Plan b was to go to a local island but as it was low season tourist boats had stopped going there as well. So plan c was phi phi. At first I was reluctant as phi phi is party central on this side of the thai islands but in true travelers style ...

    Bangkok take two

A travel blog entry by natasha.strong on May 08, 2015

... an hour. Eventually when it had eased off a bit we bought some ponchos and headed off. Typically as soon as we did this the rain stopped . After a pad thai from Aimee`s favourite stand we headed off to buy presents. A crazy taxi ride back to our hostel took nearly an hour during Bangkok traffic which we hadn't unaccounted for. The ride to the hostel and then train station was the most nervous I've been about missing something. At 1218 baht (23) ...
