... s. We visited Gundogen by bus on Tuesday, again a very cheap journey cost us 14TL in total there and back so less than £5. We walked around the bay it had such lovely views and it was another very warm day so we were pleased we had our swimming things. After lunch Daniel and Gill returned to Yalikavak and today was their 47th Wedding Anniversary, we continued having a walk before I went for a swim on the beach David swam before lunch. The water was very warm and as I ...

We then had to wait until the Turkish Airlines ground staff delivered the documents back to us. We had left plenty ...

This week has been another enjoyable and relaxing time in Yalikavak, the good old Dolmus has got us around cheaply and on time to wherever we needed to go. On Monday after our morning swim we decided to do the coastal walk from the town centre around as far as we could go past the beaches and hotels. Being very hot this was quite a challenge so we had our first ice creams of the holiday to cool us down on our walk.....well at least that's our excuse, but they were very ...

... the chickens out to the North Sea! Chicken coops, dead and alive chickens went with the wind and out they went. never to be replaced. today Orkney specialises in cattle and sheep. A bit like King Island does in the Tasman Sea. so back to today, we do hope the breeze starts up again tomorrow as we start our bus tour up the west coast of Turkey - not the Scottish definition of breeze, just your every day Aussie ...
