Today...oh dear,
The wave period was 6, with local wind chop. Really rough. Jeremy and I were both sick.

I had wanted to sail to Howeth, but after sickness and a gale force warning I decided to change tack and aim for Carlingford Lough. This turned into a 14nm tack....not good!

Tonight (Sunday) we had a lovely beef stew. Ben is a natural with sail setting
because of his experience with aerodynamics. He was able to obtain optimum
speeds, with what appeared to me to be totally 'wrong' sails. Jeremy is full of
enthusiasm, which is catching and inspiring. His pure joy at seeing the seals
and jelly fish made me smile.

Even Matt has been touched by the bug...he is every bit as captivated by this simple, stunning place as I am. This place has been a great way for us the wrap up our amazing adventure.

60 miles to cycle today and after a full breakfast and a healthy dab of vaseline in the right places, we set off, clad in lycra, for Armagh, by way of Portadown. We were joined in this first leg of the trip by a friend, Peter from Bangor. Peter has the impressive claim of being the longest serving employee of Boots the Chemist, with more than 50 years service at dispensing coughdrops.
