... perhaps he walks much faster than me after all that would not be hard. Sadly vandals, time or the weather have done damage at the cemetery and Granda's headstone is flat on the ground. At least it is probably safe there from further damage. Gordon also pointed out the nearby great grandparents on the Adams side which we hadn't known was there. Then Gordon says its a further ten minute walk to the Pollock Estate where we can spend some time looking at the Burrell ...

... The next two trains were still quite busy but I managed to get or almost get my reserved seats. To pass the 7 hour train journey I watched a couple of films on my iPad. The first being "Juan of the Dead" (don't ask!) and then for the York to Glasgow train I watched Prometheus..... Well what can I say. It definitely passed 2 hours of the journey. Once at Glasgow Central station the walk to the hostel was very quick and I am glad as I'll have to walk it early in the morning ...

It was a very short trip to Glasgow on the train! After settling into our cheap little hotel lodge we went back to the train station and bought a ticket to Prestwick! Prestwick is a wee town where my mum was born. The view from the train was misty skies, rough oceans and many long, green golf courses! It took just under an hour to get there and stepping out into the rain we wandered into the town.

... a cute little pub and had lunch - met a couple of ladies doing lunch and they chatted to us about where we're from and why we're in Glasgow at the moment. They were too cute.

Our last adventure while in Glasgow was to see the river by night.. apparently it has to be done! When we got there I could see why. Such a stunning view of the city and as we walked along I realised it was the bright red bridge that actually made the view. So of ...
