    ... sat at the table and worked away in silence on our respective 'homework’.

    Soon the quiet atmosphere was gone as Kirsi and Ella arrived home. I am not sure that Kirsi and I would ever be able to have a truly quiet atmosphere, as we seem to get along really well so we talk, talk, talk.     Finally sitting in the train to Russia.     ... has listed the Arc so we visited 2 sites which were in quite isolated country areas, on dirt roads and then required a climb to find the markers. There were many markers originally however UNESCO have listed 34 points, stretching through 10 countries.

    We had one night back in Helsinki, staying close to the airport this time, in readiness for our 3 flights the next day that would take us to our next destination of Iceland.

    After a night in a cabin at Antola we tried to do take in a little of Mikkeli but found that we really should have headed straight to Repovesi National park to do a hike because we were over the "city tourist attractions".
