Our waitress, Pam, was from England and was also the bar's owner. She had married a Greek 20 years ago and had moved to the island to run the small pub. She was charming, and we all enjoyed chatting with her.

I had a new roomie arrive called Amber who was very lovely but she didn't stay long and I ended up grabbing some sushi, painting my nails and reading The Great Gatsby. At around 11pm I was hungry again so I got some takeaway spaghetti bologna from the cafe and came back to my bed tent ...

... from Kalamata (wine town). Very quaint little town with a nice church located at its highest points. After we climbed up many steps to the church, we were exhausted and stopped for something to drink. Unfortunately for us, not a lot of people come up to Pyrgos, thus the bus only comes every hour to this town. Well, the bus didnt show up for one of its schedules stops and no taxis drove by. The locals kept telling us the bus would come any minute so we kept waiting as taxis on ...
