We feasted again for approx $20. I had nameko udon, mushrooms and noodles with veggies in a delish broth. The boys shared a tonnkastu-teisyoku, which consisted of pork, rice, miso soup, a bowl of interesting mushrooms, nozawana (a Japanese leaf veggie, steamed in the onsens) and goyoza (pork and veg dumplings).

Its been snowing all night and continues to snow all day! Half a meter must have fallen during the past 18 hours.

Its beautiful! but with todays snowfall comes the wind, with frequent strong gusts blowing the powdery snow into a frenzy. Its also very, very cold! So cold it chills you to the bones!

... tingling tastebuds. It was bitterly cold when we left the cafe and of course we got lost attempting to get back to the lodge. The great thing about getting lost is you find the most unexpected things, eg Buddhist shrines tucked away down little side streets, snow carvings, quirky buildings. I love getting lost! (sometimes)

We walked back into a warm, happy atmosphere with a glowing log fire. Mmmm lovely.

We had an awesome week in Hakuba Japan with Ben, Gemma, Antony & Karen. It started off with a high speed bus crash when we were asleep on the motorway as a car crashed into the bus. Zoe was fast asleep along the whole back row and went flying luckily she only had a few bruises and other than that it was all good. ... have lunch at Mum and Dads favourite place! It took twice as long as we thought though because we were basically in total whiteout! At one point you could actually see nothing! But luckily Dad safely navigated us back. After lunch we just skiied some runs at Goryu because it was not as cloudy there. After our last onsen for a couple of years, all 11 of us went to the burger shop for dinner and the crepe place for dessert! Again! Bye ~ ...
