Great ride today on Trumpy winding high through the mountain gorges. Left Teruel going south on the n 330 ,following the Rambla de la Torre, then east into mountains after Requena .Weather was cool and overcast,so pleasant after days of heat. Saw the first of the Valencia orange trees ; then more endless rows of grapevines ,and olive trees. ...

As we climb into the mountains before Calpe, we see a very upmarket area leading down to the sea, so take a side ...

    Mountain drive

... hairpin bends, to an out of the way bar called l'Entra for delicious tapas. We were the only people dining that night, if you exclude the hungry looking cats that were tempted to join us. The tapas dishes were random, with no menu to go from, and kept coming until we gave the word to stop. A really fun way to eat with some tasty surprises and not one disappointment. At the end of the meal the owner lined up several bottles of grappas, etc and let us take our pick - happy ...
