    Our second pilgrimage is over, A very different experience, the good and the bad, the heat, cold and incessant at times rain. The quite often loneliness of being just 3 for kilometre after kilometre. The lack of watering holes and accommodation, even when found could be freezing. But... The amazing places - Fatima, Tomar, Coimbra, Porto, Rondella, Ponte Vendra, to mention a few. The wonderful cheap food and wine in Portugal. We certainly intend to return soon and enjoy at ...

    Shorter driving days now we're virtually in Southern Spain, so we were in Benidorm by lunch. Saw our first Big Black bull on the side of the road. There are loads around, but that’s the first we’ve seen this trip and Penny has them on her mind as she’s just been reading about the Brandy factory and the Bulls used to advertise it (think we’ll be visiting and sampling some when we get to Cadiz).

    ... cold drink and cake.
    Then it was back for lunch, so we went shopping for dinner. Then we relaxed by the pool and read my book.

    At 7pm, we walked down to the church as there was a mass in progress and we wanted to see inside the church.

    Then it was home to have dinner and then we played some cards when Eugene and Anna came in to have a drink with us. We enjoyed a glass of Cuaranta y tres (43), then it was off to bed
