Touches of snow still hold at the old American base and I recognised the antenna that crown the range that I'd sketched in a drawing made of Soller, on the otherside. The sun burnt through and the view extended to beyond Palma, I spotted the gothic cathedral and the spear of Bellver Castle. To the ...

... grillwork on second floor balconies. The main square in the center of town, the Plaça Constitució is dominated by the 16th century church of Sant Bartomeu with its enormous façade. That façade is a later Modernista addition to the original Gothic structure. Just across the street from the church the same architect (Joan Rubió) created a Mondernista building for the Banco de Sóller.

From Sóller it was back home to pack for an early morning flight out tomorrow. ...
