Through MN to Iowa Lakeside Lab on Lake Okoboji

A travel blog entry by mrighter

We actually are not in Sioux Falls, SD, yet. From Excelsior, MN, we drove south to Lake Okoboji where the Iowa Lakeside Lab is located. Along the way we stopped in Hector, Fairfax, Sleepy Eye, and Windom! All small towns surrounded by fields and fields of corn pitted by ponds of standing water from the heavy rains last week. Here at the Lab we met Greta after her class was over. We went to dinner - excellent meal of meatloaf, baked potatoes, green ...

There are only so many pictures you can take of crops, so today Sara enjoyed watching the breeze move the plants like waves. You can't portray that in a picture. We enjoyed the rolling fields of the Wisconsin farm land much better than the flat land of Iowa and Minnesota. Fewer ...

A travel blog entry by wolters

After arriving at camp, a camp fire was started, and we ate marshmallows with chocolate and biscuits. I did not go to the store, but some of the others did, to buy beer, and the reputation of people from Minnesota being over friendly, is apparently true. Today was also the first time we went to ...
