    Today we paid to get a guided tour around the national park with the promise that we would see alot of wildlife that you would never see without a guide! Our guide was brilliant and we could not get over how he managed to see things as small as grasshoppers in the distance! Our guide was born and bread within the park until they were all moved out so it became a national park! He brought along a telescope lens on a stand which meant that we could see things up close and ...

    We are staying at an amazing hotel called Rio Magnolia. Hotel? The word "hotel" cannot do any justice to the experience that is provided here at Rio Magnolia.

    I'm sure that for some people staying here would not suit but I would defy anyone not to be in awe of what John and Maureen have created which is quite simply magnificent.

    After we finished our farm tour, we got showered, packed up, and had one last breakfast at the resort before hopping into our van for what was supposed to be a 5 hour drive. This time, our driver spoke English fairly well, so we were able to learn a bit about the towns and crops we saw on the way.

    ... various reasons - one had poison spines on it and was WAY too close to the house. 2 big nasty oil palms were removed because they are a dirty tree and when the big 20 foot fronds fall off they could seriously damage something. A bunch of shrubs by the pool came out because they hadn't been properly pruned, ever, and also shed leaves into the pool with every rain or breeze. They were replaced with pretty little crotons, which offer lovely color and ...
