Today in Vegas -- stuff happened! Spent a fair bit of time in shopping outlets yesterday but, while the others shopped, I spent time working on the travel blog at Starbucks enjoying a coffee and the free Wifi connection. In the evening, however, we went to a show called the Tournament of Kings which was a clever mix of horse riding, medieval jousting and sword fighting, wenches (I can say that I think as it was a term they must ...

This morning we had a good breakfast at the Paris Hotel across the street. We walked around the Flamingo Hotel property (nice outdoor area). Next, hopped the "Deuce" bus downtown. We spent a couple hours at the mob museum learning about the rise and fall of organized crime ...

... it really did feel like that beautiful romantic city. We were out on the patio with a musician playing music on the sidewalk and the Bellagio fountains going off every 15 minutes as a visual ballet. Food and wine and atmosphere were wonderful...and so was the people-watching. Back in our hotel room(s), we prepared for our trip to Red Rock Canyon tomorrow as a fireworks display surprised us out our bedroom window. Wow...!

... on Sunday and wasn't sunny or warm enough yesterday to dry things out. If you climb here within 24-48 hours of a rain event the sandstone is super crazy vulnerable to breaking so we're waiting til tomorrow. We're gonna go back to Johnny Vegas and continue on to Solar Slab - 13 pitches - wish me luck!! I hope it goes better than the other day haha :) Not as exposed so I think I'll be fine.

Thanks for reading (or even skimming) this rambly rant.
