We started the day with a late breakfast at Mike and Heidi's. Mike fixed a bacon, egg and cheese casserole that went well with the blueberry pancakes. Bloody Mary's to start the day made the wait for breakfast bearable.

We had to pay for our carry on bag because it was a few centimetres to long and we had 101lb combined cases so that cost us $25. We were in the check in line for over 2 hours. It was VERY slow because some people got to the front and found they were over weight or size and did not have the means to pay extra so spent time trying ...
... the strip. The Aria was incredible, beautiful hotel in a fabulous location. There was a tram to the Bellagio which we jumped on a few times. Once we checked in and finished gawking at our room, we headed out and just wandered along the strip. We went into New York New York and found the magic shop and can you believe it, the gentleman was exhibiting the exact same magic trick that we saw 15 years ago that we had to buy!!! So cool. The show was spectacular! Some of MJ's greatest hits plus the fantastic, and sometimes surprising, choreography of a Cirque show. The audience was well entertained and we couldn't stop talking about it over a delicious and decadent dinner. Follow that up with some time on the casino floor and that's how the Crankies roll in Vegas!
... Martijn and Lesley took us out to nearby Sedona to check out the countryside and to visit Slide Rock. The scenery in this part of the world was quite spectacular with bright red and cream rock outcrops popping out through the dark green alpine trees. Pretty pretty.
