After our usual lack of sleep from about 1am-5am, we woke up at around 11ish, then walked down to Little Italy.
I grabbed us a coffee while Darren went to buy a sticker for the guitar case, then we walked down to America plaza, where we jumped straight on the trolley which we rode about 30mins to arrive at the Mexican border crossing at San Ysidro. We walked around to the pedestrian crossing where we were able to just walk straight through the doors into Mexico. ...

With the home ready to go, the volunteers, H for H staff, the family and Caesar the neighbour all gathered in a circle in front of the house for the ceremony. The process started with a blessing from Kara, a H for H staffer, and then, one by one, the keys to the house were passed to all the participants who were asked to say something to the family or the whole team. It was an incredibly powerful moment, as everyone shared their blessing for the family, to ...

... 3 hours to get thru!!!!

We got in the taxi a bomb, no seat belts, filthy dirty. All the cars on the road were not road worthy.

Our guide pointed to the driver where to go as no comprenday. The taxi was going a different way so he just pointed that way. We had no idea where we were going. About 5 min we stopped and got out on the Main street for shopping the safe one. It was so scary. There were not many tourists as they are staying away at the ...

... gas lamp and see what fun is going on in San Diego this fine evening... a few stops here and there and a few drinks, but honestly, we are not really feeling the vibe and we call it a night and walk back to the hotel.. at least it is a nice night out and it's been a good time on the coast.
Well, we have a bit of a drive tomorrow as we head into the desert... so time to retire to bed .... Over and out on a great California time!

        • We enjoyed going into the old-style stores from the 1800s like:
          • The cigar store: it not only smells for cigars…. But also had a lot of old pipes, something really unique
          • the candy store - no that is a difficult choice: Lego gummies or chocolate covered gummy bears
          • the candle store: what about doing it ...
