The team was very focused to get a significant amount of the main house built before the end of the first day. The whole project was under the supervision of Alfonso (aka "Fonzie") who was called the "A Builder". The Homes for Hope staff train to become an A Builder and then they are allowed to lead volunteer teams.

Alfonso was very organized and all of the volunteers were busy completing their assigned tasks. Sloan got busy painting the exterior walls a nice mustard color, ...

After last year's disappointment in attempts to obtain badges, myself and my best friend finally made it! We're staying this weekend with my Big Jasmine in her beautiful new home only 10 minutes away from downtown San Diego.

We arrived yesterday afternoon around 6pm and spent the ...

... RV's were not allowed in that lot.

We are staying at Campland on the Bay ( www.campland.com) which is a huge camp site by the seaside close to San Diego Seaworld. It has 2 swimming pools and a jacuzzi, a play area, market, cafe and laundry etc. it is very popular in summer and rather popular in winter too.

We had dinner at the cafe and are having a quiet night tonight.
