People love the food. People also love convenience. By putting the two together is a match made in heaven! The location must have many tasty places to eat. Many are located near bus ...
Beginning of Remy Hair
It started in India, where women, men, children, babies, and teenagers donate their hair as
a spiritual sacrifice to the government-owned temple named Tirumala Tirupati Balaji. Then the temple sells the hair to those who want to buy. There are some terms , however, regarding who can bid on the hair. One cannot simply come in off the street and place a bid, it is more complicated than that. But the greatest ...
The plan to arrive in San Blas from Mazatlan, via Tepic, in one day- deceptively near on the map- was foiled by yet another of those rainy season thunderstorms that make English drizzle look like the Julian Clary of the rain world against Mexico's Chuck Norris. Rather than wait til 5am for the first non-cancelled bus we ...
Tepic, Pacific Coast, Mexico lisaviro1981... sat in a bar on the beach and drank a few beers whilst watching an amazing sunset over one of the offshore islands. I was so at peace with the world and so stoked to be there drinking a Tecate in Mexico. One of the best moments of my life I reckon. After that I watched a hockey game at a bar and a few of The Office episodes on my ipod. Still puts me in stitches. As the title suggests Im in Tepic. Caught a bus to Tepic this ...
Tepic, Mexico bradskey69... I DID NOT GO AND SEE IT. THE TWO BIGGEST VOLCANOES IN THE WORLD ARE JUST OUTSIDE OF MEXICO CITY - THE BOTH HAVE TONGUE TWISTER NAMES THAT I CANNOT REMEMBER OR PRONOUNCE. YOU COULD VERY EASILY SEE THE VOLCANOES FROM MEXICO CITY IF THE AIR WAS CLEAR - WHICH IT IS NOT. SO MOST OF THE TIME YOU CANNOT SEE THE VOLCANOES FROM MEXICO CITY BECAUSE OF THE POLLUTION. THERE ARE ENGLISH SPEAKING COMMUNITIES ...
CHAPALA, Mexico burtonx2... with a simple entrance going over a small log and then across the side and up the bank and then down the bank and over a log and an immediate right turn and then you must make a tight 180 degree turn while setting up your approach for the biggest log of the day. This particular log was over two feet in diameter and one had to get the front wheel up and hit the log with the rear wheel while on the gas so it would drive you up and over the log. To top it off, the log ...
Luckenbach, Texas, United States trialsrider10.20.2006 Friday I couldn't get back to sleep so I crawled out of bed at a quarter to five and began to load up after a quick breakfast and a cup of tea. It was straight up six when I pulled away from the curb in the darkness and pointed down Calle Lyon, headed for Interstate 35. The temperature in Laredo was 64 degrees, but it got much cooler after I got out of town and up to speed. It became cold enough that I had ...
Laredo, Texas, United States trialsrider... drenched with sweat due to the high humidity. Mark was ready to ride some more, but I wanted to take Greg and Shelley out to one of Austin's many fine eateries. After driving back to Hyde Park, I changed clothes and we went to Mother's Café & Garden, voted Austin's "Best Vegetarian Restaurant" every year since there has been a poll! I probably drank a gallon of hibiscus tea with my cheese enchiladas with nutty chipotle sauce.
Laredo, Texas, United States trialsrider... or poncho or anything like that. We're in the midst of a long drought in Laredo and we only pray for rain. No one else was at the park when I arrived so I tried to read the Chronicle, but it was dark enough that I had trouble doing that. Mitch arrived and we laughed about the weather and waited in out trucks for someone else to show. Ray and Don arrived with Ray driving the big motor home. Once they opened up the garage area in the rear of the motor home, we ...
Austin, Texas, United States trialsrider... so they ambushed the Mexicans whilst they were having a little siesta! I guess it pays not to have an afternoon snooze. Anyhow, the town is nice and we went to the riverside for lunch afterwards which is this cool line of Mexican restaurants along an entirely man-made river. Cheerio!
