Fiesta Inn San Jose Del Cabo

No puedo decir lo suficiente sobre este lugar y este viaje. Esta fue nuestra primera vez aquí y todo el mundo nos hizo sentir muy cómodos. No somos libertinos pero a ellos no les importó. Hicimos numerosos amigos maravillosos y lo pasamos fenomenal. Definitivamente volveremos y queremos visitar otros Desire Resorts. Se escoge cuidadosamente el personal y el equipo de entretenimiento es fantástico. Comida fantástica, habitaciones románticas, piscina climatizada fantástica y el jacuzzi es divino (la temperatura y la vista). El lugar en general estaba dedicado a la relajación y al descanso y, también a conocer a otras personas. Me encantó todo sobre este lugar. Pareja canadiense.

Nur ein paar Bemerkungen: Essen - Guter Service - Tolle Einrichtung - Sehr gepflegte Zimmer - Gut, manchmal war das Wasser nicht so heiß, wie man es sich gewünscht hätte - Fitnesstrainer: Hätten besser sein können. Es war ziemlich ruhig und es waren nur ca. 25 andere Paare im Resort. Wir hätten nicht zufriedener sein können und werden wiederkommen.

Facility - Very nicely kept

Room - Good, sometimes the hot water was not as hot as one would wish for

Activities staff - COULD NOT BE BETTER

It was pretty quiet, only about 25 couples at the resort, we could not be happier from our stay and would/will stay again.

El hotel estaba bastante tranquilo, sólo había aproximadamente 25 parejas en todo el complejo, no podríamos estar más contentos con nuestra estadía y nos quedaremos allí de nuevo.

We were there from Nov. 14th-19th and loved it! Were there some opening month glitches, yes, but did the staff do everything in the world to make it right and accomodate each guest, yes. The few issues we saw were that the rooftop hot tub was out of order for three days, there was a gas issue and they spent 24 hrs. a day repairing, they jackhammered out the tile redid the entire interior in 3 days. An inconvenience, yes, but they were thinking of the safety of the guests which is ok by me. Also to those who were inconvenienced, the hotel gave vactions to come back on them! Other issues, some of the saftey deposit boxes for in the rooms had not arrived...but they had some at the front desk that we used, no biggie.

All in all, it was a great vacation for us, we will go back time and time again. And remember, whatever it is you are looking for you can find there. Lifestylers, voyeurs, exhibitionists, nudists, and people just looking to reconnect with each other. No pressure, no worries, just good naked fun!

My husband I just returned from a stay at Desire Cabo. We had a great time and met several people throughout our stay. The rooms were very romantic, but best of all was the jacuzzi overlooking the ocean.

I have never experienced a resort as customer service oriented as this one. After my stay, I complimented the GM and provided the same feedback.

The entertainment staff was great, which always had an event if you wanted to participate. The Desire drinks were awesome!!

The food was good as well from the Seafood Buffet to the Chateau. The power did go out one night, but it was not a big deal. They quickly responded and it turned on a few hours later.

We have never had a more relaxing vacation where we have enjoyed all of the people that we met and the staff. It is very conducive to meeting people, which is a plus. Not too big, where you do not no anyone. Volleyball was fun!!

Mi esposo y yo acabamos de regresar de una estadía en Desire Cabo. Lo pasamos fenomenal y conocimos a algunas personas durante nuestra estadía. Las habitaciones eran muy románticas pero lo mejor de todo era el jacuzzi con vista al océano. Jamás hemos experimentado servicio así en un complejo turístico. Después de mi estadía, felicité al gerente y le hice algunos comentarios. El personal de entretenimiento era fantástico, siempre había eventos si querías participar. Las bebidas Desire eran impresionantes. La comida en el Seafood Buffett y en el Chateau era buena. Hubo un apagón una noche pero no fue problema. El personal respondió rápidamente y arregló el problema en unas horas. Jamás hemos tenido un viaje tan relajante donde disfrutásemos de todas las personas que conocimos y, también, del personal. Es perfecto para conocer a otras personas, lo que es una ventaja. No demasiado grande donde no vas a conocer a nadie. Fue divertido jugar al voleibol.

OK, here's the deal. We had more fun than a human should be allowed to have. Our trip started with our arrival where the packed bus we were on from the airport had to drop us off first. That was fun because I'm sure most people were saying "Desire... "What the heck is that? Anyway, we clambered off the bus and into the lobby where Fatima made sure to take care of all details for us and just told us to get down to the pool and have fun.

Our room was very nice and romantic with the way they did the lighting. Great shower in bath and nice patio off of our 2nd floor room. Got totally messed up the first day and missed the disco. Damn. Wasn't going to miss any others. So in random order, here are some of my thoughts. First of all, everything you hear about the weather in Cabo is absolutely true. Not a cloud ANYWERE in the sky the entire time, morning till night. It rains 3 days a year in Cabo. For that reason alone, this trip was amazing.

The combination rooftop Jacuzzi, bar, common areas is a truly beautiful space. Very large and inviting overlooking the ocean. I want to re-create this in my back yard. You will have to see for yourself... Spectacular. Great pool with a nice island in the middle, swim up bar and restaurant right there. Photos do it no justice as island is mostly under a few inches of water. The water volleyball games are very fun. This resort is set up in a way that makes it impossible not to meet people. The caliber of the guests was great with lots of professionals just there to have a good time. Lots of laughs and great conversation.

Service was very good as was the quality and look of the restaurants. My wife and I are not swingers but felt very comfortable with the people and generally having the run of the resort totally in the nude, not feeling Any pressure from anyone wanting more than what was obvious from us. Beautiful grounds and just the right sized resort for this kind of activity. My morning started by leaving the room at around 7:00 am with nothing but the room key around my neck. A short walk to the warm (no significant shrinkage) pool and a swim. Then up to the middle resort bar area for a morning drink in the sun. Nice!

Besides all of the regular pool, food, service, blah blah which was all great, we had some very fun times in the disco also. The women dressed very provocatively and the theme nights were pretty well attended even considering the 30% or so occupancy during this Thanksgiving week.

My favorite theme night was the Eden theme night where you were supposed to wear nothing but a fig leaf. I thought for sure this one was going to be a bust. Sexy lingerie night, yeah. Neon night, oh yes, but wear a leaf night, no way.

On this night the dance floor had exploded. Girls were shedding clothes, tequila shots were flying and the whole thing turned into this wild and crazy fantasy that you would never see anywhere else. The event staff was great at keeping the energy level at full speed.

Keep in mind, that these were now friends and people we were familiar with. Just a bunch of couples cutting loose, getting crazy, feeling sexy, playing with their partner, packed in dancing with everyone and generally having a wild time. Then of course off to the après dance Jacuzzi.

If you want to be around a great group of people, lose your uptight attitude and just have a great time with people you will miss, come to Desire Cabo. I watched this place transform the shy into the wild and the inhibited to the free. I cannot describe this place to anyone who thinks people who come to a place like this are somehow different. We are the most normal people you would ever meet and that is who surrounded us also at Desire Cabo. So, will we be back?

Hmmmm... Ok, that's how long I need to think about it.

We were at Cabo the second week for seven days.We have previously stayed at all the Lidos and Couples resorts,which serves as our basis for comparison.We had a standard superior room with balcony with partial ocean view.The room was immaculate,the bed extremely comfortable and the rain shower warm and spacious.The grounds are beautiful and at night are stunningly lit.We enjoyed the Asian themed restaurant and the continental restaurant provided wonderful open air dining at night.The breakfasts were a wonderful combination of Wendy's omelettes,fresh fruit and juices.Do not miss her orange pancakes with honey. At noon Felix would grill fish,chicken,or steak at the poolside restaurant.We walked the beach daily and enjoyed the coastal lights at night.Very romantic to watch the full moon rise from the ocean walking on the silver hued beach.Although we enjoy swimming in the ocean,the pool more than made up for it( no jellyfish or sea urchins).A must do is to walk to San Jose del Cabo and visit the church and square and enjoy the village. The staff was so pleasant,Emilio was always there with a pleasantry and asking how he could be of assisstance.Their livlihood depends upon gratuities,be sure to remember them at the conclusion of your stay.Rodolfo ,the manager was always interested inhearing our comments and was very accomodating.The resort changes daily with added improvements. We are independent travelers,not connected with the travel industry.The introductory rates more than made up for any inconveniences. For consructive purposes I would recommend that they tone down the music at night in the courtyard.The music at the pool was restful in the AM and uptempo in the afternoon. Very well done.At night the courtyard bar would be best served with light jazz,Coltrane,Hartford,Jones etc..It is a conversation area and loud techno music with the loud bass is inappropiate.The rooms face on the courtyard with a U shaped configuration.The loud bass reverberates off the concrete structure like a jack hammer all night long. We like to hear the ocean sounds and crashing surf at night ,but were forced to close our doors at night and turn on the airconditioner in order to close out the booming courtyard music. The power was out one night and it provided for a serene environment.We had a positive experience despite the fact that the resort had just opened. Would recommend to all couples seeking a romantic getaway.

No hot water at all. We had to take freezing showers our entire stay. We reported this problem and it was never addressed in any fashion.

Jacuzzi in room did not have high enough water level. We were awoken our first night to a tremendous sucking sound which was the filtration system of the jacuzzi trying to intake water. We tried to see if there was an off swith for this, but found none. We called the desk to which there was no answer. We were foreced to fill the jacuzzi using our ice bucket in our room in the bathroom sink and take it to the jacuzzi in the livingroom over and over again from 2:00AM to 2:30AM and this was clearly no fun. Once again, this problem never addressed and we had to repeat this proceedure daily, although we did it before we went to bed, rather than in the middle of the night of course.

No drapes on the two huge floor to ceiling windows that looked over the entire pool area. This left very little in the way of privacy of any fashion as well as forcing us up as the sun rose each day as the room become too bright to sleep. Due to no window treatments and a full view 24/7 into our room this room this did allow us one afternoon to see while we were in the pool that there were about 8-10 people in our room that did not have Desire staff uniforms on. We rushed to our room to see if we were being robbed or what, and were told that they were giving a tour of our room and taking pictures for a brochure they were making. Absolutely unacceptable to us! The room offered no in room safe and therefore we had personal items as well as some valuables hidden in our room and did not, nor would we ever approve of a tour. This was a complete violation of our privacy. Due to this we kept the Do Not Disturb Sign on, but this was to no avail as the staff entered anytime they liked and ignored the sign completely.

Our in room refrigerator never worked and also did not contain the Absolut Vodka that our paperwork stated it would have. We asked for the vodka and were brought up a bottle, then charged $50 for this bottle upon checkout. This is an all-inclusive resort, so this charge was ridiculous as we only asked for what we had already paid for. Incidentally, the refrigerator never got fixed either.

Room we requested and paid for came with private transportation. We got no private transportation at all and for our return trip to the airpirt they did not even have record of us for any transportation, private of otherwise. Took us two trips up to the office to get this straightened out.

Room balcony door is self locking without warning of such. We went on our balcony and being energy conscious we shut the sliding balcony door to keep the cool air inside. The door is magnetic and locked leaving us trapped on our balcony forcing us to scream for help down below. Needless to say future trips to the balcony were with towel in hand to place in the door and thus make it impossible to close with us on the other side.

Cameras were everywhere in spite of our paperwork stating infatically in bold print that they are not permitted in the common resort grounds. Picture taking was rampant and staff did nothing to stop this even if reported. It is never the responsibility of the guest to confront another guest for camera compliance rules. This was horrendous.

MANY other problems as well, not one ever addressed by the staff. The solution they offered for any and all of our concerns and complaints was to bring us fruit to our room. We did not want fruit, we wanted a hot shower, a jacuzzi we did not have to fill with an ice bucket daily etc. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESORT AT ALL AND GIVE IT A REPORT CARD OF F.
