Laredo, Texas, United States sp33d3rich... doctors, opticians and especially drugs. The street was full of little shops and items of souveneirs, full of people, both tourists and Mexicans, walking from one place to another. The sweltering heat (40 C), almost impossible to go very long without going into shops to cool off, some only with fans.
After lunch in a typical Mexican restaurant in the area and buy some souveneirs, walking back to USA on Rio Grande.
Nuevo Laredo, Northern Mexico, Mexico cyo... until Alpine. we saw the marfi lights and where going to see them tonight. On the way back yesterday when we were coming to the rv mamaw got pulled over by the cops. She was going a little too fast, but was only warned! Papaw might be doing all the driving from now on.

I have questions to answer from Carlene and Aunt Cindy, but i will do that tomorrow, when I have more time!!

Laredo, Texas, United States jacobsims... rv, waiting for help. . At 7:50 someone came to help change the tire. Papaw cooked dinner in the microwave while we waited. . I lost my tooth while eating a piece of candy. We limped into Laredo and stayed in the walmart parking lot our first night. They came back to finish the tire at 7:45 a.m. the next morning. We walked to burger king for breakfast, then we had to buy 4 more tires.
Laredo, Texas, United States jacobsims... to a taxi stand. I hadn't been to Nuevo Laredo in probably around 5 years or so, and I had heard it had become very dangerous. But everything was fine and went very smoothly. After a $5 cab ride to the Bus Station, we got our tickets and waited to board. The bus station was very nice, and the buses are too. I am really surprised how easy it was to get over into Mexico, and wonder if we may actually have more trouble getting back into the states. -Homero - Nuevo Laredo, Mexico
Nuevo Laredo, Mexico hrsanchez... chairs and a nice fireplace. This town was pretty peacefull until the trains pulled through at all hours of the night and day, hooting their loud horns at the level crossings. Next stop was Amistead lake near Del Rio Where we stayed a night for $4 on the lake, the wind was blowing so we moved on again the next day, heading South East along the border. We hit Laredo on the 23rd and inched our way through ...
Laredo, Texas, United States mcgregors5... of the way to the panhandle and beyond. About five miles up the road on 83 we spotted a bike and rider by the side of the road so we stopped to see if there was anything we could do. He had a flat tire on the rear of his Harley Davidson and was talking on a cell phone when we pulled up. He told us that he had already phoned the Harley shop in Laredo and they were on their way. That was a good thing because there wasn't ...
Laredo, Texas, United States trialsrider... to see if it was there and if not hang around for the next. In addition to this stress all the books told me to get our Mexican tourist cards before getting on the bus but the Mexican Tourist Office in Houston didn't exist, so we went to the Mexican Consulate before the Greyhound station which was absolute chaos and they didn't even seem to know what the tourist card was so somehow we ended up applying for a visa until deciding that was ridiculous and we'd take our ...
Laredo, Texas, United States frankandcharlie... section eight, they were tearing it down. It looked like I just might make it in time. I hit the last drop-off that leads into the parking lot and rode up to Brenda Hogan at the scoring table. I was so happy to finish that I was laughing as I told her that I was a lot of things, but a quitter wasn't one of them. As I cut loose my scorecard from the throttle cable and handed it to her I looked at the clock. It was 12:30. I hung around and waited while my score was tallied up. I had ...
Austin, Texas, United States trialsrider... from their morning papers long enough to even notice Zoobley and the U.S. Customs folks only wanted to know if we were both U.S. citizens. Nuevo Laredo was exactly what I expected, a lot of people aggressively trying to sell a lot of junk. When you cross the street from the international bridge, there is immediately a gauntlet of shady men offering to get you anything they think an American might want. Spotting ...
