Nuevo Laredo, Northern Mexico, Mexico cyo... until Alpine. we saw the marfi lights and where going to see them tonight. On the way back yesterday when we were coming to the rv mamaw got pulled over by the cops. She was going a little too fast, but was only warned! Papaw might be doing all the driving from now on.
I have questions to answer from Carlene and Aunt Cindy, but i will do that tomorrow, when I have more time!!
... rv, waiting for help. . At 7:50 someone came to help change the tire. Papaw cooked dinner in the microwave while we waited. . I lost my tooth while eating a piece of candy. We limped into Laredo and stayed in the walmart parking lot our first night. They came back to finish the tire at 7:45 a.m. the next morning. We walked to burger king for breakfast, then we had to buy 4 more tires.
Laredo, Texas, United States jacobsims... to a taxi stand. I hadn't been to Nuevo Laredo in probably around 5 years or so, and I had heard it had become very dangerous. But everything was fine and went very smoothly. After a $5 cab ride to the Bus Station, we got our tickets and waited to board. The bus station was very nice, and the buses are too. I am really surprised how easy it was to get over into Mexico, and wonder if we may actually have more trouble getting back into the states. -Homero - Nuevo Laredo, Mexico
Nuevo Laredo, Mexico hrsanchez... Larry" who we were told had to go with a $150 price tag. This lady lived in a broken down van with tarps strung all around and 3 dogs. She had no money and was close to being evicted. Larry was 4th in the pecking order and not being loved as he should have. We made the plan together and it worked like a dream. Boxing day we were packing up to leave and 15 minutes before driving out, so as not to give ...
Laredo, Texas, United States mcgregors5... After dinner we set out to find a motel for the night and saw a real cool fifties looking place called the Beverly Crest that reminded us of the Hollywood motel in 'The World's Fastest Indian' where Burt is befriended by the cross-dressing desk clerk. Unfortunately there was no vacancy and we would stay at the Hawaiian Royale next door that was a bit run down, but after a long day of driving we just needed a place to crash.
Laredo, Texas, United States trialsrider... outskirts of Piedras Negras about 9:45 and was feeling good until I got in the line of traffic at bridge 2. It was Good Friday and there was a long line of cars with Mexican plates going across to shop. It didn't take long for the bike to get hot, so I switched it off and pushed it along whenever traffic moved. They were really checking the cars over and the passenger's IDs so it took awhile to get through. One of the immigration guys on foot checked my license numbers ...
Laredo, Texas, United States trialsrider... a BMW M3 when I pulled into his driveway. He happened to be working on the rear brakes on it and I presented him with a homemade stool that I had made him for use while doing those kinds of jobs. It's one of the most used pieces of equipment in my shop. We're getting too old to be sitting on the floor! There was also some biscotti that Linda had made the night before as present for Shelley and Greg. I unloaded my gear while ...

I did make visual references, but that wasn't good enough because when I met Pato up at top, we couldn't locate the bike and the daylight was waning. Pato offered me his bike, but I chose to walk down the mountain as I was so tired and sore that I feared making more mistakes riding. I also did not stop because I knew that my muscles would tighten if I was to take a break. After walking along the top for a bit, we ...
