... it's made up -- they had a couple of Italian restaurants along one street and so deemed it Little Italy. Probably very cynical of me. The W Hotel is happening tonight ... some big wine tasting event. Lots of sleek young bodies in high heels and/or tight pants. Both men and women. Very amusing. I definitely felt out of place ...
San Diego, California, United States ahartryAt work all day, then late afternoon flight. No problems with flight at all ... arrived, got rental car, then drove the few miles to the W Hotel. Very swank. The "living room" bar was happening ... but we just went to our rooms, then met for dinner at Rice, the embedded restaurant, which serves Cuban/Asian fusion. Food was fine, not fab.

Room is fun ... there's a chalkboard (that received a bit of J. Alfred Prufrock from me) and a window seat. And the linens are wonderful.

San Diego, California, United States ahartry... know from Mammoth or SoCal and try to find a ride back to Mammy. When it comes down to it I have many options. I could go back on Saturday, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday! Its great having friends. I decide I'm ready to get back to Mammy and spend some time there before I take off to my next adventure.

I first spend some time with Brooke and ...
San Diego, California, United States flutterby7011... the butts were hurting! This turned out to be a nightmare, we followed the main road into the city center where all of a sudden we were met by signs for McDonalds, Office Depot, KFC, and Subways!! Not exactly what we wanted or were looking for. The city center was mayhem with cars and motos going everywhere. Jess got frustrated and weary of all the traffic so we quickly turned around and tried to find a "Motel-No-Tell" which are so common here in Mexico ...
Culiacan, Mexico jessandmalinHi All, Its funny how a little thing like a time change for daylight savings can upset your entire plans for the day. That's what happened when we left for San Diego. After the clocks were moved forward 1 hour for Pacific time (or specific time as its known these days) we overslept and then took too long checking out in the morning such that we left later then expected en route for our first destination - Pacific Coast Plaza. This a mall, or shopping centre (more like shopping ...
San Diego, California, United States pod501... to continue on with. It takes him a full day to do the more details coins. We also got pictures taken with a Zonkey (cross between a zebra and donkey). One of them was really funny and kept making weird hew hawing noises, didn't sound like a donkey but didn't sound like anything else either, think it had an identity crisis. On the way back to the border the driver pointed out some statues and sights and stopped to let us see some of their homes. They use whatever they can get hold ...
Tijuana, Mexico woolfiestrip... a high of around 75, back to you." I really couldn't believe it! Thanks again for all of your support guys! I didn't think people would read this blog as much as my round the world blog since it was the US and a lot of you have seen these places, but I still was shocked at the amount of people who would write me that they were reading it. Thanks so much- it was so hard leaving all my amazing friends and family ...
San Diego, California, United States kwrona... okay, you ordered beef: but if you decide to change to chicken, just close your eyes and think chicken - they taste the same". Come on people, some service please! If this was amusing, immigration and baggege check was completely controvercy: just to get our nerves breaking down, officials continued asking us with the same questions, but only in different way. I was asked "When are you leaving the ...
San Diego, United States danielheidi... set up for motorcycle riding. I spent the night in a little town called Lareto which was really nice, and then continued to La Ventana the next morning (yes, I resisted the temptation to push all the way through after dark!). I came SOOOO close to running out of gas twice. The first time, the one gas station was simply out of gas when I got there and it was a long way to the next town. The second time it was just plain old too far between stations ...
