The first few days here I felt pretty out of place and thought I would seriously go bananas if another person asked or talked about how many pitches, jugs, dihedrals, ropes, etc... Over the last week, the influx of people has become a very endearing tribe of people to me. I will miss my morning routine of unzipping the sleeping bag and tent. Last day here in Potrero Chico. Definitely wanted to go out with a bang. Mr. Drew rounded up a couple 5 pitch climbs with Mr. Maple Mace Canadian Dan. Love this guy, he's a true Canadian, can't fathom people actually owning guns! All that is TEXAS, blows his mind wide open. Love him! He's also a paramedic in Canada, just got back from the Philippines for rescue mission. We've been trading EMS war stories ...

... and roasted onion, with home made salsa verde. OH DANG, OH DANG!!!! I stumbled on to a gentleman who made me a Vampiro to wash down my tortilla wrapped bliss! Vampiro= tequilla, squirt, limon, and Viuda de Sanchez, chili-salt rim. Mexico, Mexico, oh how I love thee Mexico!!! ... hour and a half and finally came across the biggest oak tree I have ever seen! The road wound around to a dead end and there it was, perched on a hillside with an amazing view of Potrero Chico! I spent an hour or so hanging out with the tree enjoying it's wise company. After a quick snack I headed back down in to the park and then in to camp. A nice lazy nap with a warm breeze in hammock hit the spot! ...
