    Day 32 - Exploring Cefalu & Palermo

... again, it was another sweltering hot day with the indicator in the train showing as we approached Palermo that the temperature was 36 degrees. Despite the heat we did our best to see as much as possible in the time available not returning to our B&B until just after 7:00pm - it was quite a long hot day. Tomorrow we will wake Travis up again and head off to our next targeted destination I.e., the town of Agrigento which promises some interesting ancient Greek ...

Once there the process of purchasing our tickets and getting Travis onto the Ferry all went very smoothly and 20 minutes after sailing we were at the Port of Messina Sicily. From Messina we immediately set the Sat Nav to direct us to our first scheduled stop in Sicily I.e., the wonderful ancient sea side town of Cefalu. The journey from Messina to Cefalu took ...

We were passing a town called Santa Agata along our route so obviously captain Aggie wanted to see what her town was like ! We dropped anchor in the bay and had a glorious swim whilst ...

Slept long and left only around 10 to Cefalu about an hour drive from where we stay and famous for its DUOMO (again) and BEACH. We left as usual under a brilliant sky with hot temperatures.
For the drive to Cefalu we took the smaller roads to see some of the scenery along the coast. Beautiful views and again the typical nonchalance of the Italians going to the beach and parking wherever they find a spot. The drive was nice, we passed ...
