Great campsite with the exception of the rude German's on it... Slight run in with the two couples opposite feeding the wild cats, setting Tia off as since day one dogs chase cats, causing the Germans to make gestures and shout in German at us to get Tia to be ...

... boat excursion to Panarea and Stromboli and returning at night. I can now honestly say that trying to navigate by sign and negotiate Sicilian small-town traffic is not an easy thing to do. It seemed that there were plenty of signs when it was obvious which way to go but inevitably as soon as we hit thicker traffic and found ourselves pushed down a ...

6 September All went well on the crossing from Naples. Kids slept well and nobody fell out of their bunks. Very early start, though, as the ferry docked at 6.30am. Gaetano was there to greet us and after I squeezed all our bags into his little Alfa (with the stroller across the laps in the back seat) he drove us through the bedlam of early Saturday traffic in Palermo. We got to Aspra and settled into our new digs. The house is spacious and just as ...
