... Torrent de Pareis. This is unbelievably a dried up river bed and it cuts through the mountains out to sea. As such, the beach is pebbles of various sizes rather than sand, but the view from the beach to sea through two giant rocks is beautiful. The Mallorquin landscape, of white/grey rocks, interspersed with bright green trees and seas of turquoise and vibrant dark blue is ...

Excursion en coche!

It was nice to have Javier back today, but I was instantly reminded how they are very different teachers - no better or worse than each other, just different styles. After school, we took our first proper road trip, and Lisa and Andrea tagged along for the ride too. We headed to Valdemossa first - a small pretty hillside town, and stopped for a bite to eat. Today was our last day in class with David, before Javier returns tomorrow. Andrea did indeed end up in my class and we were joined by four others to make a total of six - the perfect class size. After class, I joined James by the pool for lunch and then we jumped in the car for a mini road trip. We headed to Portals Vells, where there was a ...

The park was pretty quiet as most of the tourists had gone home, and I think the longest we queued for any of the rides was 15 minutes - and you could tell by the way the place was set up that usually the queues are a lot longer! Some slides used rubber rings, others we could pair up ...

And... Relax!

So as expected, the head was a little sore this morning (or rather, afternoon...)! So a very quiet day today - a few hours by the pool and then a few hours in the spa at the hotel. The spa is small but lovely and I had the place (almost) to myself - different pools, showers, steam rooms - and a plunge pool with ice cold water, which I did brave once! All in all, a great way to recover and just to have some quiet time to myself before James arrives tomorrow and suddenly it's my last ...
