      Wow! We are impressed by the grandeur of the buidings, and the streetscapes, and the Duomo. And to cap it all off the coffees are €1.40 not 3.60 as in Paris. We also lucked in with a happy online choice of hotel with great breakfast and large comfortable room. Walked into town to the Piazza Duomo, saw the last of the Christmas markets, and queued for tickets to the elevator to the top of the Cathedral.This is well worth doing ...

      ... there was stuff there beyond the high end stuff but alas one afternoon was hardly enough.
