... is some sort of Expo going on in Milan and there are about 1 million more visitors than usual for this time of year and we have been told that it will probably cost about 40 euros to park for the day. So armed with all this info we head into the traffic. Its only about 50 miles from Lecco to Milan, and most of the drive, once away from the lake area, is large roads. We wandered around the shops and I took them to "Panzerotti Luini" which was as amazing as the first time and slightly less busy! Then we went for Nathan ...

... La Rinascente. The latter is a multi floored department store, stocking only the very best of world fashion, perfume etc. We went to the roof garden, where some of the cafes have great views of the Duomo. We had lunch at a restaurant called Maio - a real Italian pizza, Risotto Parmigiana with caviar (!) and 2 really good glasses of Pinot Gris for my birthday. We saw a really great ...

... a different room, as pictures are not allowed. Going along with the Da Vinci theme, we made a trip to the Leonardo Da Vinci National Science and Technology Museum, where we learnt about Da Vinci's many advanced inventions, and how he really was a genius. Farther into the museum, we learnt about planes, trains, the environment, the production of plastic and other products, the telephone, the clock and many others; every time we ...
