In Live Oaks Campground you can hear
the surf pounding against the beach but, you'er not at the beach. The
smell here is not the smell of the ocean, it is the smell of the
smell of a salt marsh. Here it smells of the earth's primordial soup,
stirred twice a day by forces even greater than the ocean itself.

Here, is a true Maritime Forest filled

... that was well worth the stop.

We went to Vicksburg, I have fun pictures of that, but they're on the hard drive, so I'll get them up later!! That was a fun day. Although it was 104 degrees, it was really nice in the shade, so we first walked a 3 mile loop at the Monument (and saw a canon reenactment right before that) and then we had quite a long stroll around town.

Tomorrow we're off to the beach for a day!! The girls are looking forward to that!
