Austrian Alps

We woke from our kind of sleep to stunning views from the windows as the train neared Villach and the Austrian Alps. We had realised that we were close to the Rosental valley, so decided that we should have a quick explore before finding a campsite with the aim of finding some tacky Rosental souvenir. Lots of walks and restaurants at the top. Remnants of melting snow left here and there in hot sunny ...

The cheaper prices of campsites after Pisa certainly helped as we weren't feeling ripped off and the lakes we stayed at were also very cool. We have now had our time on the hot southern European leg of our trip and are heading into mountainous Austria so it should be quite a change and there's only one way to find ...
