... people were great. They were unbelievably honest, extremely well dressed (a lot better than us anyway), and were helpful and very kind. They were also incredibly social and it was rare to find anyone who was not quick to smile and engage in friendly banter.

With their smiles making our smiles bigger, there was not much to be annoyed about, but I still was. I was annoyed by the street names of this place. Not all of them, just one in particular, George W. Bush ...

... through the border quicker apparently that's how they work, we didn't need it because they didn't want to deal with a whole bus full of people they just let us through the border) he was very grateful and it was lovely to have someone help us unlike the 20 other people who just watched us from their farms. We finally made it to our hotel. Everyone went to dinner then sat by the pool and had drinks at the poolside ...

... able to help us out. We started with a Salad Bogova and split a large margarita pizza. I asked if the house white wine is from Albania, but no, it’s from Italy. So I passed on a beverage. Mom ordered a large Korsa beer. The salad was good, but the pizza was mediocre – mainly due to the lack of tomato sauce, which last I checked, is a pretty fundamental ingredient in pizza.

Returned to the hotel at 10:09. Online, blog, sort photos, and bed at 12:51 ...

... got stuck in a rain storm and ended up sheltering with a drink at a somewhat deserted beach bar that the locals opened for us!
Whilst we were there we noticed a cow on the beach. Fair to say that was a bit weird! On the way home we saw 2 more cows on the road eating rubbish. Unfortunately rubbish is everywhere in Albania, including on the beaches. Again there were also heaps of unfinished buildings around. We headed back to the hostel and picked up our bags ...
