... energy requirements for the day.
Also been out most days litter collecting, plus one morning helping to plant some very small saplings along the bypass. Lots of bending, stretching and carrying heavy bags of litter around - much more energetic/tiring than you might expect when you go looking for old litter, far under prickly bushes and trees.

Historical Traveler Reviews Inn on the Prom @ Fernlea Hotel & Niven's Health Club Lytham St Anne's
Having read some of the reviews we were expecting the worse when we entered our room. In fact we were more than pleasantly surprised. It was spacious, well furnished and had a sea view with a large bacony. The only downside was the lack of AC on what was an extremely hot weekend. We stayed with a large group and know that some people were disappointed with their rooms.
Fantastic Hotel, very enjoyable weekend.
I stayed at the Fernlea for the weekend with my girlfriend and had a wounderful time. The hotel has got a fantastic team working there followed by excerlent service offered to the guests. We stayed in one of the Sea View bedrooms which was made even better due to the good weather we had that weekend. The bedroom we stayed in was very clean and furnished to a high standard. We ate in the restaurant both evenings and were very impressed with both again the service and the food presentation. I will be returning in the furture.
Great refurbishment helpful staff
i stayed at the Fernlea with my family and having stayed at the hotel last year i couldnt believe how nice the new bedrooms are aswell as the new restaurant. i thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definately be going back next year.friendly staff and excellent service i would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Great stay at the Fernlea Hotel in Lytham St Annes
My wife and I stayed at the Fernlea Hotel, and had a super weekend break. We received a very warm welcome. Food and service was first class, and we thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. We would recommend to our family and friends
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for one night, along with my parents and aunt & uncle.
Not worth the money
I took my parents to stay here for the night and was really disappointed with the state of the rooms for the price.
The general impression as you enter the hotel is that it is all very nice. However, as you make your way to find your room you have this impending doom as the carpet quality, decoration and even the bedroom doors get worse and worse.
The bedrooms are fitted with 80's grey plastic 'put it together yourself' style furniture and the bathroom is very stark, basic and reminds you of a hospital. Overall, they really need updating and definately not worth the price we had to pay - similar to a night in a very decent hotel in central manchester. Wouldn't recommend it at all.
