... in America. Next drove along back roads to Stoke and Newton Ferris both places little villages tucked away amongst the hills. Continued on to the pretty town of Modbury, through Kingsbridge and the very small village of Buckland Tout Sands ( photo of yellow thatched cottage). ... was quite dark in this narrow, deep cut section, and quite aptly named. This would have to be one of England's hidden treasures and well worth a visit. Superb! The roads we went on today will be ones the cyclists in the Tour of Britain ride on on Thursday. Headed home along the road that continued along the edge of Dartmoor, but it was mostly farmland with some forested areas in the north, but no more dramatic high open moors and tors that we had seen this morning.
