    Tuesday finally arrives and we're on the 1803 out of Exeter St David's after a quick beer in the Great Western. As we pull out we dig into our supplies, I head to the buffet car to pilfer some ice and we settle back to enjoy a couple of G&T's.     Today dawned bright and clear, and it was the first time we'd seen our surroundings in daylight. The Battleaxes is situated on a nearly blind bend in a surprisingly busy country lane, so in order to take a photograph of a phone box clad in vegetation, we had to scamper across the road with alacrity.     ... coast, and is quite the beautiful city! We just had the afternoon to wander around and look at all the quaint little shops that the town had to offer. I could imagine how busy it would be during the summer when it was warm! It wasn't the coldest, but it was chilly to me to be sitting out on the beach, but there were people that were doing so!
