Hi everybody! We arrived safely in Manila last night around midnight. No major incidents or adventures this time...which is probably a good thing. We flew...backwards...to Minneapolis St. Paul...before flying all the way to Tokyo. From there, we hopped down to Manila. Altogether, we think the travel time was more than 26 hours. The last two stops were the Folded Brocade Hill, another historic view, the walls of which were decked with Chinese inscriptions and Buddhist sculptures, and the Elephant Trunk Hill, which resembles an elephant dipping its snout into the Li River. ... into the Chury 'La Hotel, spruced up and met them after their Uni classes. They all had part time evening jobs at a local hotel...and their main job was to sing Karaoke (Oh Sweet Jesus). Bontoc being a town of **** all to do (again, drinking curfew at 9pm...apparently due to the amount of killings and fights after drinking the local gin) we stayed at the hotel til closing time (10pm).
