... water. The boats on the lake are all electric to preserve the cleanliness and peacefulness of the area. At one point on the trip the guide gets his trumpet out, and plays a tune next to the cliffside called the Echowand, and depending on the weather the notes echo one or two times - all very funky ...

... out of him at one stage.... even though he reckoned he didn't know the lyrics :) It was a fun tour - Wends and Lisa - you would have loved it ! and I'm sure you would have done yourselves proud during the sing-a-long bits - we were thinking about you :) Hope some of you die hard Julie Andrews fans recognise a few of the locations in the photos.... enjoy.... I'm off to watch the film again to spot some of the shots :) ...

... the mountains alone. I rarely saw anyone and it was an awful feeling being in the woods on my own unsure if I'd taken the right way. In the end I hitchhiked the last 5km, otherwise I would've broken 30km.

The itinerary i got stated a walk of 21km today but somehow i managed to add another 7km on my own. It wasn't an easy 28km, I had to ascend and descend mountains, and climb up steep slopes. It felt like Nepal all over again. Oh boy was ...

... son, WA Mozart. His houses are named with plaques and his statue stands in the centre of the square that bears his name. Even if you didn’t see any of these, the contents of many of the shops would let you know this was Mozart’s city: almost every kind of souvenir bears his name/his picture/his music/his initials and there are cafes and restaurants named after him etc etc.
