Passau is a city of 50000 at the confluence of three rivers, the Danube,LLz and Inn.St Stephen's cathedral is one of the most beautiful I have seen. Full of art. There is an organ concert every weekday at 1200. Amazing sound as over 1900 pipes are part of this 2nd largest church organ in the world. There are many Neat shops and restaurants. They are recovering from the devastating floods of 2013 so there is much ...

Passau is a city of about 50,000 bounded by three rivers, the Danube, the Inn, and the Ilz. We pedal first to see a bit of the old town, then along the bike path ...

... some cough drops at a grocery store as all the drug stores were closed. Hopefully she won't have to use them. After dinner we went up on to the sun deck to take in the show. It seemed to be sponsored by the Ars Electronica Centre. There were huge crowds of people and all the buildings were lit up and the ARC building was blinking and changing colour. There was a flotilla of gaily decorated boats ...

Today we woke up in Passau - this is a small town at the confluence of 3 rivers - the Danube, the Inn and the Ilz and is very picturesque. The old city was destroyed by fires in the 16th and 17th centuries and rebuilt in the architecture craze at the time -Italian Baroque. Quite a few on the boat elected to join one of the optional extra tours which lasted all day, but we decided to stick with the included walking tour of Passau in the morning and the stay ...
