      Today we toured the porcelain factory on Meissen. Harry looked while I bought :). Because of demand for Chinese porcelain this factory was built in the mid 1700's..the first outside of Asia. Of course,it was incredibly beautiful and breathtakingly priced, but the artistry can't be topped. Last night we stayed in a stellplatze about 4 feet from the rivers edge. One of the buildings he owned in Dresden was actually called the Japanese Palace because of all the stuff and decor from Japan. This led to Japanese and Chinese styled art and furniture to be produced in Germany and other parts of Europe.
