... and she was not sure as its normally
closed if there is much snow was her reply. However I decided to take the chance
      and go that way.
Out through the twisty streets of town and I'm soon onto a magnificent
smooth twisty road which is a bikers dream. Thanks to the wonderful weather the
road is totally dry and just great to bomb along at speed on.
The road snakes its way along through a wonderful river valley and passes

I was so excited I practically ran onto this bridge which was a little more rickety than I would have liked but I was out there for a while anyway! I have only been to Sundown Mountain in Iowa, so this was kind of intimidating from the start, but we figured out which hill was going to be the easiest! We had a great day, trying out different hills, ...

A travel blog entry by jlmcclure on Oct 27, 2014

Up and about at 7am and after some brekky we took a taxi to Hauptbahnhof (Central Station), where we started our tour to King Ludwig's castle. It is believed this castle is the idea behind Walt Disney's Snow White castle. The castle is quite a way out of Munich so off we go. First onto a train with our guide and our 7 other tour people, all English speaking, good start! We were on the first train for about 15 mins and then we were all ushered off and onto another train for about ...

      The Side Benefits of Insanity

... insane was "childish table manners." Chew with your mouth closed, people.)

So the king gets insanity, and the country gets a damn fine tourist attraction. I'd say win-win, but I am sure Ludwig would disagree.

As a tourist (as opposed to a monarch lacking dining etiquette), the castles are a beauty and a thrill to visit. The train whisks visitors to the Alpine region, surrounded by snowy mountains and clear blue ...
