... push bike.

The follow day we expolored the town more, revealing something different to discover around each corner.

Leaving Brugge today we headed to Cologne to vist the Cathederal. The drive did not take long when you can sit on 150kph and still get passed.
The Koln Cathederal is absolutley breathtaking. It is an enormus structure. The inside is just as amazing. Pictures cannot ...

Beersteins and Feral Antics

Short entry this time....

Only here for one night. Got to the hotel saw a couple of shops with beersteins, birkenstocks and clocks. Had dinner and watched some feral women proceed to get ****** and act like idiots in the hotel bar. Some good news though, won 30 euro on the slot machine in the hotel.

One of the guys (we assume it was a guy) even peed in the hotel hallway and our Tour Manager had to clean it up. People can be such animals.

A visit to Frankfurt -- RYANAIRS Frankfurt

... Steakhouse). As people who travel often we wondered what the food was going to be like as we know Germans love their food and large portions. The food was well cooked and tasty, and the service was excellent. We were surprised in the steak house we ordered Rib eye Steak and got Fillet Steak although perfectly cooked not what we ordered (although we only paid for Rib eye), but everything else with the meal was extra ...

We stayed in a Castle.

... it was 4 trains away to Bacharach in the Rhine Valley. We made it to Wurzburg, then Frankfurt, and then Mainz... and then we missed the last train out to Bacharach. Thinking we were going to spend the night in a train station and NOT in castle, we reluctantly asked the clerk what we could do... she handed us a voucher, said to go get a taxi, and he would drop us at our door! So we basically LOVE the German Train system, especially since it was ...

2 Hour Lay Over!

So well I on my way to Bremen I had a 2 hour stop in Koblentz and it was 11 at night. I wish I could say I went and partied hard but I didn't. I tried, I followed some spot lights in the sky but those were to far to walk to so I just walked around a few blocks and found a dinner/bar and had a few ...

Rhine River in Flames

... So, for those who do not want to afford the expensive cruise, bus or train would be the preferable mean of transport.

Another point, I would like to make: the Rhine, especially between Bonn and Koblenz is home to dozens of large and little castles and fortresses. This fortresses are for the most part in private ownership, but on the Rhine in Flames event, this ...

Philip's stag tour

Straight from finishing work with COLT, I went to V festival. No pics, and you can get stories directly, but I then flew straight out on Monday to meet Philip, Lawrence and Elias in Germany to catch up on Philip's stag do. The plan is a week-long tour through Epernay & Reims France (I missed that bit), Köln, Kerpen, Nürberg etc through ...

... kid with them. He plays the organ for the choir and seemed very happy to have someone his age to talk to. The tour showed off the castle's treasury and armaments as well as what it was like to like as royalty during the time. The bedrooms were lavishly decorated and built to withstand very cold temperatures in the winter. The bathrooms were really interesting as well because they were all built on top of each other and used gravity and rain ...

... like 400 feet. The castle is about 1000 years old, and is one of only few that hasn´t ever been destroyed (most have been rebuilt). After hanging out there and taking a million pictures I hiked back to the train station to go to St. Goar to spend the night in a "Zimmer", which is basically like someones house you stay a night in. My room was nice, the bed was very soft!, and the view from my room ...
