... Inter-City Express for the direct trip to Munich. I had enough time to stop at McDonald's in the station and buy a Sausage & Egg McMuffin and a Coffee (since I won't be eating again until about 15:00).

Woke up starving cause we didn't eat dinner on the train, and went to have breakfast at the hotel, nice but 8 euro each made it fairly expensive considering there was no hot food. Then caught the U-bahn into the town and a tram out to Nymphenberg palace, paid to get into the museum but turns out you can get into the grounds of the palace without paying - it was still nice inside though. ... München Hbf, fifteen minutes walk to the hostel, drop my bags, get a map, and following my roommate Josh's advice, head for the Marienplatz. Josh is about 22 years old, so it makes sense: overcrowded, shops and bars! Bah. Day 7: May 24 Saturday Munich We boarded our bus and took a city tour. It was cloudy and windy and cold. We visited Schloss Nymphenburg. This is the summer palace the King (Ludwig I) had built for his queen. Unfortunately she only spent one summer in the palace. She caught pneumonia while caring for her children and died.
