After our lovely lunch, we wandered around the neighborhood, took in some of the shops (Cheryl bought two Starbucks Octoberfest mugs) and found some fabulous chocolate. We eventually wandered back to our hotel, changed again (it had become really warm) and had the front desk provide us with instructions on how to take the subway to the Octoberfest grounds. Cheryl and I figured we would use the afternoon to just visit the grounds, walk around and take it all in. Then ...

When it started there were about 30 Kiwis and 10 Aussie’s. We had our beers and had ordered lunch. John has Salmon, salad and fries with mine being a mixed platter of Chicken wings, strips of chicken tikka, onion rings, squid rings, spare ribs, wedges etc. It ...

Weather was fine for 30 minutes after we woke up. Next time we looked out the window it was just drizzle. Decided to go to the Residence Museum after meeting another of Alice's work colleagues, Max, for a coffee and cake at the Tambosi café.
We walked to the Residence, which up till 1918, was where the kings of Bavaria lived and now a museum. Kids had the same attitude, "Just old stuff". But they certainly knew how to ...
