A week of what later, in another part of Romania, we find another one: Turda gorge. This one we can only walk through. As it is pentecost, it is also quite full, this time with mountaineers. Next to the gorge there is a small campground, for a well earned meal and a good sleep.
Our first stop was St. Anna's Lake, Lake Sfânta Ana, is the only crater lake in Romania and dates back almost 10,000 years. Since the lake is supplied exclusively from precipitation the amount of minerals in the water is extremely low. The purity is almost of that of distilled water.
