Pere Codina i Mont s/n Lloret de Mar, Costa Brava, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands, 17310, 34-972-36-1000

... this period of year there are mostly aged people resting there, however I noticed there a lot of clubs near the beaches, so I consider that in summer this town is full of students. The beaches are sandy and what is important all those beaches are public. And one more thing - there are NO PRIVATE BEACHES in Lloret de Mar!
Lloret de Mar, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands eleoshka... and I´m having to wear jumpers and jeans. Tiled floor is freezing in the mornings! My room has a tv and I´ve been trying to practice my spanish by watching spanish tv and films in spanish (you can borrow them from the school). There´s also an intercambio (language exchange) on tuesday at some bar apparently, so might try and see what that´s like if I have time.
School is pretty good, we´ve been learning loads. Basically, we have ...
... and very promising until we got out of the car and explored. The village is obviously quite new, and rents must be high, as the prices were high too! How disappointing. We returned to the car with time on our hands and made a decision to visit Tossa De Mar.
Chris & Milly had stayed at Tossa on a previous visit to Spain and raved about it, so we set ...
cerca!
desp escribo desde la muralla!

As if the Dali Museum wasn't cool enough, the next stop was two little villages on the Mediterranean coast called Portlligat and Cadaques. Dali lived in Portlligat and his house has since been turned into a museum, complete with big eggs on the roof (Dali was big on big eggs-they were all over the place at the Dali Museum). We drove up this tiny mountain road (which was interesting in a really big bus...) and as we were going over a hill, the ...
Last day with our C8 MPV and so Sue plotted out a day on the Costa Brava coast. Her research was spot on and we ended up for breakfast at Tossa de Mar (albeit at 10am). Gorgeous beach and easy parking just beating the rush. By the time we left (after a long swim) beach was packed. Sandy even did as the locals and bared her ...
Tossa de Mar, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands buckgw... which goes most of the way around the old town. At the top, I stop at the snack shop for a beer and eat the picnic I had prepared. Very relaxing watching the boats go by. I look at the bridge from afar when I can to see if my bag is still there. I pick it up at the end of the day. No problems.
Girona is another town with castle walls. I get there late in the day so all sites are closed. The hostel has only been open a few weeks ...
Sleeping on the sand fully clothed was a new one for us and were forced to wake up by the sun rise. As the sun got higher in the sky we seemed to get more and more lazy until we just decided to stay another night. I´m 22 and still havent managed to learn the sun tan lotion lesson. As a result I now look like the inside of a water melon ...

As a special birthday treat me and Olly decided to buy 3 litres of sangria (less than a euro), 3 litres of wine (less than a euro), a bottle of vodka (less than 4 euro), and a bottle of random spirits (less than 4 euro). We then hit the beach for the first time. Cooking our food amongst the rocks we met a wandering Dutch guy who spoke perfectly English. He sat with us for a cigerette. We then got truly hammered ...
... jelly. Kiki ordered it in Spanish, thats why I don't know the name(lol). We stayed there for about an hour and a half. Kiki and I spent the rest of the day shopping at near by shops. At about eight o'clock we went to a restaurant near La Segrada Familia and ate like queens! I had lobster with buttered green bean amadeen ...
