Another short night, breakfast is until 9.00am so went downstairs at 8.30. Unfortunately breakfast wasn't very satisfying. They only had noodles, eggs and a dry sort of bread. We all ate something, but will definitely have early lunch. Beach day today! We took a taxi to Sanya bay. Which a bit of a strange beach. ... one big problem....We're sun burnt, it was windy today we hadn't felt it and the sun cream Seemingly wasn't enough because we all are red raw and feeling sorry for ourselves. Early night today, des and Cian went for a stroll but we stayed in to type up.

Quite hard to get a taxi with 4 people and backpacks. Turns out that all taxis in Haikou have this gas tank in the back of the car, so you barely have any space in the boot to put your bags in after the taxi driver helping us, we finally got them all in. Now trying to buy train tickets to Sanya, all signs are in Chinese and there is no sign of any English speaking people. So we decided that Miriam would queue up for the ticket ...
