Onwards to find the Dolomites
... the kind waitress informed me that the sign saying "pass closed" is for another pass and not the main pass on the road to Bolzano and that I can go that route to the Dolomites.
My plan now was to follow route 42 out of Edolo as far as Bozzana and then head over the passes to Bolzano and then take it from there.
As I headed out of town the temp was a wonderful 4 Celsius. For some reason it just never seems to feel that cold in this neck of the world, but if it was ...
Info for my travel blog
... this cold but we have loved to be able to see it with snow. Yes first photo, nick dumped snow over me, thanks for that, so the pussy ran when I threw it back and lost his glasses in the snow. Frantic 5mins then found hence his photo. Typical. He is trying to say he meant to have a funny photo. We are definitely coming back here for a few days for all the amazing hikes and trails this place to offer in summer, and sky routes at winter! After one last short drive through austrian cottages, miles of greens and impressive mountains, we reached our destination for the night - the picturesque city ortisei. This small place is a tourist gem, a weird combination of ...
Inge
Here's a few pictures of our newest family member, our beloved adopted Inge. She was a treat! And a trooper, at 84 years old she showed us Cologne's many sights in the 90 degree heat. She has a great laugh, a great sense of humor, and is a great tour guide! Inge is the only remaining cousin to Anna's Great Gramma Ursula. She is the only family member left alive from Ursula's extended family in Germany. We were very lucky and thankful that we got to meet her and spend time with ...
