    ... time consuming. It makes good experiences for me and lasting memories once it is over.

    I am sitting on the bottom of the boat, at the very front, which is good for photo taking. The only drawback is that the luggage is piled on the bow of the boat, right in front of me. You can see my bag in many of the photos I took going down the river. It is the blue bag.

    ... we would be safe from critters on the first part of the walk as we were on an elevated walkway so I was sauntering along and heard Hamish shout me. I turned round to see him waving me back and frantically pointing in front of him. Turned out to be a snake!     ... which made for great exploring and we even saw some wild Dusky leaf monkeys which were great to see. The beach also had a turtle conservation area where we got to see some baby turtles which are being looked after until they are old enough to be released. After a long day hiking we headed back into town to try out some of the famous Hawker streets. This is really cheap, really good food.     ... song tao across town to another minivan station. Then yet another minivan ride but this time we're packed in there like sardines! And its hot. Arrive Pak Baru, wait to 3pm then jump on the ferry for a 2 hour ride to Koh Lipe.

    Long tail boat around to Sunset beach, and we settle for a 800baht room at Porn Resort and our simple bamboo hut is on the beach with amazing view of the water and the sunset.
