... 3 months. The cinema (kino) ticket only cost $3 and a drink was about $1 - we get extremely ripped of in Australia.

I'm heading up to Ventspils next, another beach town - it's a hard life. I realised I made a mistake when I came to Liepaja first because now I have to go up the coast, and then all the way back down again past Liepaja to get to Lithuania. Oh well thats what happens when you make plans on the fly.

... covered market and a very posh large supermarket where we managed to buy, at last, an inexpensive hot plate ( cost round £6.50) which we can use when we’re in harbour and have access to electricity ie saves on gas.

... where tankers take on board oil. I don't know where the oil comes from but the tanker was registered in Glasgow (see photo). Tugs were stationed fore and aft to keep her in position and we were warned to keep clear as we were, at one point and due to the shifting wind, seemingly heading straight for them.

... a mass of abandoned buildings and infrastructure that has fallen into complete disrepair and ruin.

It's amazing that in every place we go and all the different people we talk to it is like another piece to the puzzle of what God has planned for us and the direction he is leading us in: either eliminating options, or re-kindling our old dreams, or inspiring us with new ideas.
All still a whirlwind of exactly how it all fits together...but exciting all the same...
