The hike was a 4,5 Kms stretch to another hotel/hytte and there we would make a tour around a mountain to a small place another 5 Kms away (with service in the summer - now that's a goal) and then back on the other side of the mountain and back to the car over the same way we came originally.

... we stayed at in Ringebu is called the Spidsbergseter Gudbrandsdal Hotel (try saying that fast five times, or even once!). This is the place with the stuffed musk ox in the bar. I have included some pictures. This area is popular for Norwegians who like to hike and walk the trails here and many residents from Lillihammer and Oslo own summer homes in Ringebu.
